EQLindows, September 5th Patch

Post by toad » Thu Sep 06, 2007 12:41 pm

as of the patch on the 5th, when ever you attempt to join a server from the server select screen, the entire program just dissappears. You can attempt to log in immediately after, so the program crashed before you attempted to enter the world. Can you please update EQLindows to work properly with the new launchpad and September 5th Patch?

Thanks

I am not sure about EQLindows, but WinEQ2 / EQPN should both be patched up (WinEQ2 last week regarding the new patcher/launchpad, EQPN 3 times in the last 2 days to accommodate SOE's patch for the patch for the patch).

See here for more info regarding the Sep 5-6 patches specifically.

If you are still having problems, please post a sysinfo.txt per the bug reporting guidelines.

Thanks

eqlindows is a different program, and the download is still for version 1.01

the link you posted says no topic exists

There is no sysinfo.txt because eqlindows does not create such a file, nor does it have an option to do so

If you don't know about the program i am requesting help on, please don't post a response that can't help me

Toad-

I am terribly sorry I offended you.

I have looked around for this EQLindows program that you are referring to so that I can learn more about it and perhaps offer any insight but I have been unable to find it. Could you be so kind as to post a link to wherever you downloaded it from?

It was offered from Lavish software when eqwindows stopped working. It was basically a fixed version of eqwindows.

There is a /nolpad option that can be run on everquest.exe. It uses the old patcher. I haven't got it to work on eqlindows it says its an invalid path.

Aye, as you said, /nolpad does not work. The old patcher does not get any files updated past the middle of August or so.

EQLindows 1.02 is now available for download (from eqlindows.com). It supports the new patcher and no longer crashes after server selection.

Thanks Lax. The first time i ran it, it still crashed after server select... suspect it may have something to do with windows Vista. Ran it a second time after double checking admin and xp2 compatability and ran fine.
Not sure if it is important to you or not, but hovering over the program with my mouse still says the program version is 1.0.0.1
