Windower?

Post by Rakkaku » Thu Jun 23, 2005 9:08 pm

I've been looking for a program that will allow me to play WoW in a window, so that I can make it small and therefore gain FPS. How do I achieve that through this program? Can I? If not, what program will do that. I need help here. Thank you.

You can window WoW without use of any external program. See the video options menu in game.

Yes it does...

WinEQ 2 will force World of Warcraft into a window, but if the game itself is not set to windowed mode, you will experience problems.

For some reason it won't work on the windowed mode now...

It comes up with an error about 3D acceleration and how I don't have it, but I play the game on fullscreen and it works. What's up?

Sounds like an issue with your video card drivers. Grab the drivers for your video card from nvidia.com or ati.com (depending of course on whether you have an ATI or NVIDIA card) and install them. See if that helps

I want to apologize for ever doubting this great program. It does work! Thank you so much for this program. Can you suggest a way to keep a decently small sized window but still be able to read the text?

Well, for the chat window you can right click on the tab (e.g. if you hover over the main chat window it says General at the top) and select a larger font size. For the rest, you probably need to use a UI mod. I'm no expert at WoW UI mods though ;)
