You may be able to cheat the system by loading both sessions to the EULA screen before logging any in, then both to character select. If you are able to get both to character select, you will be able to play (at worst, you will see white/missing textures). Dropping your in-game resolution from 1600x1200, or lowering your color depth to 16 will also help immensely.

For more technical information and explanations, keep reading.

The TNT2 probably used a lot more software processing and used system RAM instead of onboard memory to store the front buffer (what you see). Current video cards are expected to fit the front buffer onboard, and the driver will tell DirectX there's a problem if there is not enough remaining memory on the card itself to do so. The problem you are experiencing, as the message indicates, is simply that there is not enough memory on your video card to initiate another 3D display. This isn't WinEQ's fault or EQ's fault, or even DirectX's fault. It's the design of 3D graphics adapters that is preventing you from opening another session.

To see how much RAM you need on your video card, see the table at this link: http://www.lavishsoft.com/wineq2/faq.php#3.3

Basically, just to load EQ all the way to being in the game, it takes 29MB of texture memory (which is partly made up of the video RAM for the front buffer, and partly textures and such that can actually be loaded into system memory), at 800x600 in 16-bit color. Increasing your resolution or color depth increases the amount of video RAM required (and thus the texture memory).

Well, the previous post explained it all as best I could. If you are using a 32MB or less video card, you arent going to be able to run 2 EQs at 1600x1200x32 no matter what.

The updated drivers from the new card may be your current issue with the old card.
