WinEQ 2.0 bug with EQ1

Post by KovaaK » Sun May 01, 2005 12:33 pm

I'm not sure if this is fully intentional, but it seems to me that if you do various key combinations in WinEQ 2.0 while zoning, it saves them and presses them after you are done zoning. I expect this is for things like changing which window is active. However, the problem I have with this is that it seems to save "alt-f4" as well.

For example, if I'm in EQ, cross a zone line, then alt-tab to close winamp with alt-f4, EQ closes as soon as it is finished zoning. It took me forever to identify what was causing EQ to "crash" on me btw :x. Is there a way to disable this "save key combinations until finished zoning" feature? Or is it not like that at all, and WinEQ just likes to close when I alt-f4 other programs while zoning?

EQ doesn't process any input until you finish zoning -- nothing is really "saved" its just not processed. Try disabling "Multi-threaded window" and see if that helps

Unfortunately, that option is set as "OFF" already for me. Any other ideas? Thanks for the absurdly fast reply btw :).

Yep, that worked great. Tested it a few times, and it hasn't occured since I changed that option. Thanks again, Lax!
