eqgame.exe crash whenever use wineq2 to start eq1

I cannot get Everquest1 to run under wineq2. Everytime I try I get the Windows crash screen for eqgame.exe. I get the same error if my computer/desktop is set to 16-bit or 342-bit color, and I get the same problem regardless of whether I have eqplaynice toggled on or off. EQ1 ran ok under wineq1.x.

It crashes when? Immediately?

Have you tried running it without Freedom Internet Security running? It's possible that's causing problems. It could also be other running software, so if you can narrow it down to a specific program let me know and I'll see what I can do to solve the problem
