Cant get past patching on Everquest 1

Post by Adail » Mon Dec 06, 2004 10:43 am

trying to load EQ1 via WinEQ, but after patching it just pop up a msg saying :"eqgame.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. - If you where in the middle of somethin, the information you where working on might be lost."

Dunno what to do :/

I had this same issue. I was using mq2 at the time. When I disabled mq2 it works fine. I read a post a short ways down the list and Lax said to DL the latest mq2utilzip but I have that and it still doesn't work. I went to the mq2 forum and the zip was removed "until someone post the god damn bug fix". So perhaps WinEQ2.0 and mq2 don't play nice at this time.

p.s. - my sysinfo.txt is about the exact same as yours. You just have 2megs of mem and I only have one! :( x-mas is near!

The zip is removed, but the fixed code to replace your MQ2MoveUtils.cpp is in the post. WinEQ 2.0 and MQ2 are just fine ;) You can also update to the latest MQ2 zip...
