Post by Grav » Thu Nov 25, 2004 2:04 am

Cant get Everquest to even load.

After the patch nothing happens.

Have the same problem on my other 2 computers.

1.38 works fine. But i try and use 2.0 and goes though all the stuff but when I hit accept after the patch. Nothing.

Does same thing on my other 2 computers.

Well, you have WinEQ 2.02 and the current version is 2.05. I would suggest manually downloading 2.05 since your copy of 2.02 apparently has patching broken

The problems seems to be an autofire program i'm using for my ranger.

Dont know why but once i removed the program wineq2 worked fine and eq1 loaded up.

Any suggestions why the macro programs and crashing wineq2?

Here is the source code for the program i was taking about. The person who made the program released the code since he wont be playing everquest anymore.

That autofire program can be shortened down to 5 files. It includes a bunch of DirectX stuff that it doesnt use ;) The problem is it's creating an infinite loop when used with WinEQ 2.0, and then crashes. Instead of mimicking D3D9.DLL, it should be using a different mechanism to get itself into EQ. I may be able to fix it though, I'll see what I can do.
