UnAble to see title of window

Post by loqutesh » Sun Nov 21, 2004 3:17 pm

how can i move the Window in order to see which Character i am playing?
Looking at the Manual i noticed i am missing one setting called:
Windows Preset
Which prolly alows me to shift the window in a order so i can see whos who.
When trying to move the window, me mousebutton acts in the most strangest way :?

Yes, presets are limited to subscribers. Non-subscribers are limited to one preset, and that preset loads automatically and is hidden. The title bar of your window should be barely visible. What happens when you try to move the window by dragging the title bar? Can you post SysInfo.txt for me?

btw when i try to move the Window a Move-cursor showes and thats all....
i cannot do anything with it...
and when i click on the game i get two cursors, one from EQ and one from Windows. But when pressing ctrl-alt-del and removing it again, the cursor restores to normal.

First, it literally has the same exact features as 1.38. The only difference is neither subscribers nor nonsubscribers in 2.0 retain the last window position. The window is supposed to be movable, and in all of my testing it works perfectly fine. Secondly, you still have the option of using 1.38, so how is it "forcing [anyone] to subscribe"?

A move cursor shows? How exactly are you trying to move the window? You should be dragging the title bar, which should be visible by 4 pixels. You shouldn't be able to even appear to move it any other way, but I see that right clicking on the task bar entry still shows the old system context menu, and clicking Move there shows the cursor but doesn't let you move the window. I'll change that behavior since that seems to be the main issue for non subscribers...

I take that back, the behavior is 100% normal ;)

However, I have a guess. If you can't see the top 4 pixels of the actual display, you may just need to adjust your monitor's vertical size or position so that it is displayed.

I'll move it down a few pixels by default.

I changed the default setting so that it should be visible. You will have to delete WinEQ-EQ.ini from the WinEQ2 folder in order to use the new default. If you still cant, even with deleting that file or uninstalling and then reinstalling WinEQ 2.04 from a fresh download, then you should check your monitor settings (which you should anyway)
