Connection to Lavish Software license server failed.

Post by jeurice » Sat Nov 20, 2004 6:14 pm

After installing Lavish.WinEQ.2.03.exe I get the following:

Error message:

Connection to Lavish Software license server failed. The server may be inaccessible to you at this time, or the amount of network lag between you and the server is extraordinarily high.

Click ok and see:

Initializing WinEQ 2.0 Plugins
0%

and get the same error message again. The tray icon then will disappear if you cursor over it.

Pretty straightforward message I'd say ;) WinEQ is required to connect to our server, if it fails to do so then it wont run. Are you running a firewall or other software that would prevent it from doing so?

Dont know what to tell you, WinEQ 1.38 and 2.0 both use exactly the same networking system...

WinEQ doesn't accept any incoming connections, it only uses outgoing. Opening ports will do absolutely nothing :)

I do not believe this is a firewall problem...I have this problem even when I use a direct connection to my modem WO the router in the middle.

Anyone else know how to fix this?

Have you looked at the Profile settings for the profile(s) you're using? One of the options is "Patch" :)

Aside from spyware, viruses, or other software that may be installed on your system that is interfering, there's no reason you should have a problem with WinEQ's authorization.
