2.0 is now working.

with 1.38 I remember being able to adjust where the window was located on screen -- in 2.0 I don't see an option for the X and Y coordinates for the window. Am I missing something?

I was able to answer my question by reading the other couple of threads about that issue, go figure ;)

Played with it some more -- it only freezes up with MQ2 if EQPlayNice is turned on. if I start MQ2 after I am ingame with WinEQ2, and EQPlayNice is on, I get booted to server select as you would expect. At least I'm narrowing down the problem for you =x

I just noticed another thing
Module Loaded C:\WINDOWS\system32\xfire_lsp_8742.dll (11A0000)

You have Xfire installed, which causes problems with WinEQ if not handled correctly. Find your Xfire installation and find the "toucan" dll, and let me know what the entire filename is .. example: xfire_toucan_10406.dll

I'm going to uninstall xfire i think, but I'll wait until this is resolved so you can use me as a guinea pig

There is no toucan .dll

Can you list the files in the Xfire folder?

No idea why it wont respond at character select, but I uninstalled xfire on my system tonight and found that it leaves xfire_lsp sitting around and active even after uninstallation. You have to use a program from http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm in order to remove it, which is pretty lame. Uninstall it and see if that helps?
