Okay, today's research. We have found that EverQuest leaks 20 to 40mb of memory each time you go from character select out to server select and back, even without any EQ utilities running. We have also found that on Trigabit's system here at Lavish, he does not experience the crash issue even after dozens of tries in the same session. He did however end up with more than 700MB of memory in use. My system does experience the crash. His system uses a GeForce 4 ti4200, and mine uses GeForce FX 5700.

Although I cannot verify that this crash is directly related to the memory leak, it's entirely possible that it is. I can say though that it is in your best interest to close EQ out all the way rather than going from character select to server select and back, even without WinEQ or EQWindows for that matter.

Finally... I would like to say that I get this crash with normal EQ.
