I've been having a consistent problem while using WinEQ2 and running Everquest 2. Apparently it isn't helping free up resources that EQ2 is hogging. I sit there and watch my memory meter just dwindle down from the 2gigs to 2mbs over a 30 minute period. At such time my system just goes all out sluggish and I'm forced to restart the EQ2 client and it's ok again.
System is a laptop with a Intel core duo, 2gigs of ddr2, and a 256mb PCIe card. Have the graphics set to custom, and it's basiclly just below the "balanced" setting.
Any suggestions? I'll post my sysinfo later when I get home.

I could also be mistaken on how this works. I know it has an FPS/CPU limiter, but I thought it would also free up resources EQ had hogged up as it found them not in use anymore.

No, a properly written application frees its own memory. WinEQ2 does not free memory for you.
