A few questions before I purchase...

Post by Grimleaper » Thu Jul 15, 2004 11:28 am

I have a few questions. With eqplaynice, how would you recomend setting the options for running 2 or 3 characters on a p4 1.5 with 512ram and a ,(I think a gf5 256meg, might be the 5600), to maximize playability?

I remember running wineq a while back and had a problem. If I right clicked on the screen the window would freeze up and I couldn't get back in. Can you explain to me how this works. I'm using the other eqwin right now but would like to switch to yours.

Btw, I will be purchasing your software today.

Thanks in advance.

running 2 or 3 windows you probably want to maximize on eqpn as much as possible, set your background fps as low as possible (5 - 10) and your foreground to about 30.

My system is similar to yours amd 2000xp, 1gig pc2700 ddr ram, and gf2 ultra. These are the settings I use and have good results when running 2 windows.

The lockup problem with the right click context menu is a GeForce detonator driver issue, and is reportedly solved in the newest drivers. Grab it and give it a shot. If you purchase the subscription, the default settings are A-OK and are my recommendation. Lite users will want to drop their max FPS a bit, it sets itself to 20 in 1.07 for them since they thought it didnt work in 1.06.
