WinEQ 2 problems with EQ1 mouse tackled

Post by Lax » Fri Nov 04, 2005 11:58 pm

As of this moment, we have patched WinEQ 2 with what we firmly believe solves the rest of the troubles with the new EQ1 mouse system. We appreciate everyones help in identifying and solving these problems, and hopefully we can stop uploading 17 WinEQ 2 patches a day for a while :)

If we get confirmation from our users that this solved the problems, we will be updating WinEQ 1 accordingly. We find it unfortunate that some users still prefer WinEQ 1 over WinEQ 2, whether they've told us the reasons or not, particularly because we do not plan on supporting WinEQ 1 much longer. We will continue to make updates to it when it becomes necessary (such as times like this), at least until mid-2006, and of course it will remain usable after that assuming they dont break it again for a while :)

We will make announcements regarding the fate of WinEQ 1 and our future product line at the appropriate time.
