Ironically I am having this same issue 3 years later after a patch yesterday. Exactly the same issue as the OP and I haven't had EQ Play Nice enabled in years so I don't get the message for it when logging in. I can log in through the launch pad without issue but can not log in to Live/TLP servers o...

Were you able to figure anything at all out? For me only 1 account out of 12 has this issue. The 11 others work fine, just the 1 that won't let me log in with WinEQ 2 but works fine with the patcher. I was considering uninstalling and reinstalling EQ but if I can avoid that hassle and find a solutio...

I found a fix

In order to get any accounts working when they get this error, you just have to delete all the ini files associated with that account. There should be 1 for each character and 1 for the set of characters named after the account and then I also deleted eq.ini to be safe. You'll have to reset your pre...
