It may be an issue where you do not have admin privileges. If this is vista, right click on the shortcut and select "Run as Administrator".

Are you running Vista? If so, make sure you run WinEQ as administrator (right click on the shortcut, select 'run as administrator').

did you try the command line? IE Start > Run > cmd?

Since you have tried so many different hardware configurations, I would be interested to see the software you are running when crashing. Please post a sysinfo.txt per the bug reporting guidelines from a system that you can make crash.

It would help if you would post a sysinfo.txt from the session that is having a problem, when it is having a problem. This isn't something that I have seen reported around here.

It sounds like you have patching turned off in your profile.

With the eq patch two days ago, SOE disabled the "Skip the patcher" option which WinEQ uses. As of last evening some time, SOE reenabled this. Please try again today or the next time you can and let us know if this is still a problem.
