This patch helped my setup. Before the patch I was able to get Everquest emu running by running: -WinEQ2 with admin privileges and compatibility mode xp 3 -Everquest with admin privileges and no compatibility mode Was grateful to have it working, but on my setup for some reason if I don't run Everqu...

Wish I could help.

All I was doing was playing with different admin and compatibility settings for eqgame.exe, wineq2, and the shortcuts I made from wineq2. Was testing without MQ2 loaded went things started working.
