If you are running EQ as Admin still, you may also need to run the KVM software as Admin. Non-elevated applications can't talk to elevated (admin).

It gives the "don't show this again" option Vista is missing.

This issue doesn't happen with IE8b2 on Vista.

If you are running Vista, run Internet Explorer as admin.

You should be able to play regardless of the eqplaynice status.

WinEQ will function properly without eqplaynice. You just lose the eqplaynice features (fps indicator and rendering throttling/cpu enhancements)

Looks like they rolled out a new version of eqgame.exe at the end of the patch. Maybe it has the same signature as the earlier one, but different addresses and the offsets are now wrong for eqplaynice.

It's likely the WinEQ is not running if you have the patcher setting on. Do the following and wineq should work normally:

Run launcher to patch and close.

Run EQ sessions from WinEQ with NO patch option.

Run launcher to patch.

Run EQ sessions from WinEQ with NO patch option on.

Run launcher to patch.

Run EQ sessions from WinEQ with NO patch option on.

Run launcher to patch.

Run EQ sessions from WinEQ with NO patch option on.

Run launcher to patch.

Run EQ sessions from WinEQ with NO patch option on.

Run EQ normally to patch (then close the launcher), then run EQ from WinEQ with nopatch.

This should no longer be an issue with the August 15th patch.
